This is an activity to support the International Exchange Meeting held every two years by the Japanese Red Cross Society.
At this meeting, more than a hundred youth volunteers from more than 20 countries in the Asia-Pacific region gather together to exchange opinions on assigned issues and live together to deepen international understanding and friendship. We, as the organizing staff, are responsible for the planning, preparation, operation, and interpretation.
We spend about six months preparing for the International Exchange Meeting which is held around November.
Our main roles are to "MC" the event, "plan and organize" the programs and fieldwork to promote exchange among the participants, and "interpret" the group discussions. It is truly rewarding to play a role in a major project that will remain a lifetime memory for the high school students.
Preparation
With the staffs of the Japan Red Cross and school teachers, we discuss the administration method of the group.
Discussion Day
Interpretation is provided to ensure a smooth “discussion” between Japanese and overseas members.
Discussion Day
We plan and facilitate various programs regarding recreation and the cultural introduction of each country.
